News

10-12-04:  Second draft of a pre-Chapter 1 short story, Road Trip, featuring Lia and Rick.
07-06-04:  Finished revising Chapter 2. The longest chapter I've ever written, at 10211 words.
06-16-04:  Work on Chapter 2 - completed Monday afternoon. I'm about two-thirds of the way done with Chapter 2 now.
03-29-04:  More of Chapter 2. My schedule is packed, so don't expect anything more soon.
02-01-04:  An extra couple pages in Chapter 2. Next up, a revision of the rest of the chapter and some more LJ entries.
01-24-04:  Introductory work on TI2. Because TI1 is so full of holes, I'll have to revise it according to what I do for TI2, so further updates will be upcoming sporadically.
08-07-03:  Finished Chapter 8, which means I'm DONE! Grab the full printable TXT version here.
08-05-03:  Finished Chapter 6, a good start on Chapter 8, and finished Chapter 9. I'm on the home stretch, folks.
06-04-03:  Version 1.0 of Chapter 5, plus a start on Chapter 9.
05-30-03:  Version 0.8 of Chapter 5, finished version of Chapter 4.
05-23-03:  Version 1.0 of Chapter 4, new entry paragraphs for Chapters 2 and 7.
05-22-03:  Chapter 4 at version 0.8 (LJ entry needs to be done).
05-20-03:  New 9-chapter system instituted: chapter 5 expanded to 5 and 6, chapters 7b and 8 condensed into one.
05-20-03:  Massive update of chapters 1, 2, 3, and 7 with LJ entries, and notes for most other chapters.
04-26-03:  Printable version of chapters 1-3 and 6 available.

What is Team Infinity?

Team Infinity (TI) is an original story about a team of six realistic superheroes. They've got problems, they've got personalities, they're amazingly powerful (as superheroes go).

Main Characters

  1. Space: Sarah White (soccerluvr)
    Appearance: Smiling Aryan blonde, with a ponytail, a heaping helping of good looks, and a locket around her neck
    Personality: Cheerful, un-self-conscious, ditzy and a liberal Christian
    Powers: Control of gateway into alternate dimension
    Inspirations: Megan Ross, Hannah Bae, Linh Pham, Rand al'Thor*, Setsuna*

  2. Time: Ben Eldinson (-=34GL3_3Y3=-)
    Appearance: The dictionary entry for "pitiful otaku", except thinner
    Personality: Cynical, overanalyzes everything, a good student
    Powers: Visually linked time sense, enhanced brain capacity

  3. Power: Rick Hughes (evilken)
    Appearance: Dark, standoffish, trenchcoat-and-gelled-hair, plays video games
    Personality: Does not, I repeat NOT, have a heart of gold, but not one of stone either
    Powers: Line-of-sight energy wave manipulation
    Inspirations: Shinomori Aoshi*, Mike Lowry, Wynn Heh, Terry Bogard*

  4. Mind: Timothy Walker (twalker1229)
    Appearance: Straight out of a toothpaste commercial, always perfect even when he says he isn't
    Personality: Soft-spoken, introspective, sensitive and a good listener. (Duh.)
    Powers: Empathy and emotional control
    Inspirations: Tim Reichart, Tim Cheston, Mastermind*, the Mule*

  5. Reality: Alex Brene (trickhat)
    Appearance: Tall, muscular, good-looking, brown curly hair and a polo shirt (normal form)
    Personality: Either a natural leader or a hundred-year-old fugitive from justice
    Powers: Total or partial metamorphosis
    Inspirations: Scott Summers*, Brian Bartoldus, Ryan Murphy, En Sabah Nur*, Axl Low*

  6. Soul: Lia Chin (purplelia46)
    Appearance: Stereotypical Chinese
    Personality: Stereotypical shy-but-smart Asian, gradually loosening up as the story progresses
    Powers: Probability manipulation with virtually no upper limit
    Inspirations: Clara Yuan, Meera Fickling, Geng Chen, Neo*, Haplo*

  7. Ted: Theodore Kavalec (hsa_wash)
    Appearance: Standard guy in a suit. Older than the rest of the cast, of course.
    Personality: Brisk, businesslike, bored. He sees this sort of thing every week.
    Powers: None; senior agent for HSA, Mutant Activities Division
    Inspirations:

  8. Mars: John Tyler
    Appearance: Agent Smith, but nicer, younger, and without the glasses.
    Personality: A sociopath whose arrogance and egotism is matched only by his power.
    Powers: Reality control

  9. Matthew Alnora
    Appearance: Ted isn't telling.
    Personality: Manipulative, plotting, reclusive and above all, intensely curious.
    Powers: Telepathy and mind control

  10. Tao: James Sazuki
    Appearance: Japanese, Yakuza Japanese. Very expensive and colorful clothing.
    Personality: Egotistical, obsessed with power, but paradoxically a father figure.
    Powers: Unspecified energy channeling
    Inspirations: Phoenix*, Rock Howard*, Lews Therin Telamon*, Testament*

  11. Lily: Jill Reddings (naturegirl13)
    Appearance: Shortish black girl with a shy smile wearing plenty of green and brown.
    Personality: She loves nature. And Mind, but that's excusable.
    Powers: Unspecified nature goddess stuff
